Does anyone out there know of a source where I can buy a replacement windscreen for my 1981 750 SECA with the factory sport fairing?

Mine has been glued so many times that I now own stock in 2 super glue companies. lol

    Thanks

    Dodger-

I ordered one for my 82 750 Seca from this place in Bailey, Colorado- Here is the link: http://www.clearviewshields.com/

I'm told it will take 4-6 weeks, and it was around $130. They have a shorter screen, and a taller one (2" difference). I'm 6' tall, and medium to longish in the body, so got the taller one.

Does your faring look like mine?

    Good luck-

No they don't make them any more so just sell me your fairing. Just kidding go to your local glass shop and ask them if they can cut you one out of lexan. Just because they won't check around because we make 1 or 2 a mounth at the glass shop where I work.

Most any shop that works with plastics should be able to make one for you using your old one as a pattern.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered one. Did it really take 5 - 7 weeks to get it?

Dodger62- Time will tell. I'm about two and a half weeks out on my order. They said they'd give me a shout when it's in (I'm realtively local to them, and plan on taking a ride up to Bailey to pick it up).

Hope it works out well for you.

Figman- Your last name wouldn't be Newton, would it? I grew up with kid we called Fig, due to his last name. Anyway, thanks for the compliment- Now that I have my solenoid/electrical problem worked out (knock wood) I'm back to being really excited.

As for the luggage- my bags are stock Yamaha items (Yamaha badges on each), and came with the bike from the dealer to the first owner. I'm the third owner, so everything I know about them is secondhand.

Actually my first name is Newton. I am the guy with 2 last names. I was called Fig Newton by quite a few in my younger days.
