Pods and Jets

    I have an 85 Maxim X with 4 K&N pod filters. I just bought the bike and it came that way. It seems to hit a flat spot between 3-4K RPM, is this a jet issue? I plan on changing the plugs this weekend to see if it helps, but if it is the carbs, what size jets should I get (and what came stock just so I know if it was already jetted). From everything I have read this bike should be pretty fast, but I am a little unimpressed. Anyone have any other tuning tips? Thanks
