Replaced my old plugs with new ones. When I removed the old ones I noticed # 3 looked fouled. I replaced them and it was obvious # 3 was fouled, bike ran much better and after riding approximately 100 miles or so # 3 is fouled again. To diagnose where should I start.

    Thanks

You can check your petcock vacumm line for fuel. It may be drawing it into the intake if the diaphram has a hole in it.

Or try moving your petcock vacumm line from #3 to another. Make sure you use the cap back on #3. See if your plug fouling moves.

Or you may have a high float level on #3.

If the Plug was fouled ... the Bike would have not run smoothly.

Unhook the vacuum line to the Petcock
    Place it to your lips
Draw a vacuum line on that hose to see if you taste fuel
If you do ... the Petcock needs servicing
If you don't ... adjust the Pilot Mixture Screw for the Number-3 Carb Down a few degrees and see if that helps your situation.

I replaced the plug with one of the older ones and bike ran OK but I did notice some skipping at lower rpm's and as rpms raised the skipping ceased. I will check the vaccum line later today after work. I have cleaned fuel tank and checked petcock and noticed no fuel came from tank when in reserve or on position and when on prime fuel flowed. Thanks for your help. This is a very helpful site to a mechanically challenged individual as myself.

Finally got the chance to to check the vacuum line to the petcock and as I drew on it I could hear air leaking. Investigated further and noticed the gasket between the vacuum line mounting block and the main body of the petcock had a small hole and is the source of the air leak. Should I replace the petcock or the gasket only. Thanks in advance for your help.

Get ahold of Chacal, he can sell you a petcock rebuild kit, or maybe just that gasket piece that you need. I used one of his kits on my petcock, works great, no more leaks!

Appears that the cover caps for the pilot mixture screw have been removed. I oiled them and cleaned a little but I see no slot to insert screwdriver into. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you post a picture of a screw with no slot?
