front brake pads un-regular consuption

    could you express your opinion about my problem? :)

    the pads of the front brake of my Yamaha XJ 650 4K0 1981 has an un-regular use.
    in particular only one pads of 4.

    the other couple of pads is still in good conditions, better then the left one in the picture.

    Sounds to me like you need to grease the parts of the caliper that are intended to slide. I'm not real familar with the XJ650, but most disk brakes share a similar setup. The caliper 'slides' on pins, usually the attachment bolts, to apply pressure to the disk. These pins need to be disassembled, cleaned, and re-greased each time the pads are changed (Parts 12 and 14). You also need to grease the 'pads' the brake shoes ride on as well (Parts 8 and 9).

    The sleeve #12 needs to turn freely on bolt #14 or the caliper will pull to one side. Also, washer #10 needs to be on there or the pads bind in the caliper.

    can I use svitol or something similar (PTFE lube) to grease pins?

    Any good quality grease should work fine.

    You must always replace pad sets together! You can reuse good pad sets so long as they go back to the location they came from. The pads seat to the rotor/drum in a particular, distinct fashion that makes it mated to that surface. Using them anywhere else is reducing the pad efficiency thereby decreasing the braking ability. Not good. You should get a new set to replace your single bad pad.
