Well, I repainted my spare 550 tank. First time doing pin striping and I I think it came out well. What do you guys think? On the one pic you will see white specks, that is something that go ON TOP of the clear coat. I dusted it off AFTER I took the pics... :D

Looks good! What kind of paint/equipment did you use?

I used DeBeers paint (auto) with DeBeers Clearcoat. For the gun, I just used a Wal-Mart special ($39 I think). I have sprayed everything from this to latex paint with that gun. Seems to work really good! Once I do a cut and polish, I will put the gas cap on and put it on the bike I just finished and take some pictures to see how it looks.

This was just a spare tank. I used it mainly for practicing the painting. My sister has a Honda CM250 that I am going to be re-painting the tank and side panels and she was wanting some pin striping painted on, so thought this would be a good opportunity to sharpen the skills.

The reason I am going to put it onto the bike is just to see how it looks on the bike. I think the bike will look pretty sweet. If it looks as good as I am hoping it will, I just may leave it on the bike. :)
