Are fork seals available from a bearing supplier or is it a dealer only item?

If available from a bearing supplier does someone have a part number? I would like to have them prior to dissassembly.

They have illustrated parts breakdowns with part numbers so you can buy exactly what you need.

You can always go to www.yamaha-motors.com on there they have a very intense parts finder, with exploded views of prety much every part on the bike. But they are expensive and may or may not have it because its an old bike. search for Chacal he should have whatever you need in stock.

Chacal carries the seals and other parts you will need (o-rings for the spring seats and dust boots if yours are shot).

Send him an email (Len) info @ xj4ever (dot) com.

Thanks, I contacted Chacal a few weeks ago anticipating the need for parts prior to repair, but so far I have been very lucky, most of the repairs have been re-soldering the switches, I did make a start button.

What did you use to make the start button?

Krayzee, I used a piece of black delrin for the button, I was able to re-press and epoxy the original brass contact and re-use the spring, the wire broke during re-assembly, so that was another solder fix.
