    Again, an 81' XJ650 Maxim

After pulling the carbs off and replacing them, I've introduced an electrical problem with multiple symptoms:
    - Turn signal indicator isn't working and I think the flashers aren't either (need to check, but on work travel).
    - The neutral light comes on when the kickstand is down, but not when the bike is in neutral.
    - The tach isn't running.

I have to believe I screwed one thing up that hit all three things. Any ideas on where to start looking?

I'd be looking for a un-wanted ground. Typically grounded wired either short out a lot of things or cause a lot of operation symtoms.

You have the main wire bundle secured to the frame (spine) of your machine just above the carb bank. It is possible you chaffed a few wires wrestling with the carbs. I'd be looking up there. Additionally, you may have unplugged one of the connectors of any of the above mentioned circuits. Happy hunting.
