I acquired another bigger bike, and the boss (wife) won't allow two, so I have to give this one up. I would much rather see it go to a fellow XJer that understands these machines if at all possible.

It is a Canadian 1983 750 Maxim. I bought it in the summer of 1990 and have put close to 30,000 of the 62,000 km on it. It was stored inside from 1995 until this spring. New Dunlop 404's, plugs, battery, UNI re-usable foam air filter, fuse box replaced with inlines. Newly painted tank. Runs well, but the exhaust collector is in bad shape. I'd hate to see it go for parts, but I understand if your bike is in better condition.

I have a spare "donor" rack of carbs to go with the bike as well. Carb #3 was replaced on the bike due to a seized pilot screw.

Let me know if you would like to come see it... I'll list it on Kijiji in a week or so if no one here is interested.

Thanks... the headers are in decent shape, but as I posted above, the collector has issues. If I was keeping the old girl, she'd have a 4-2 MAC chrome MAC system.

If I did not have mine, which is in decent shape, as well as a Seca for parts, I would definitely consider it! I have the a 4-2 system, although I am not sure the make of the exhaust. Has a nice sound to it!! The Seca has a 4-1, which I might try and play with...
