Checking back in after a long hiatus. I put my 700 up on a table and now I need to get some carb parts from Len and get it back on the road. Oct 24, 2021

Oh I dream of my retirement from construction. 25 years as a super and the industry is falling apart now.

Thanks Hog. Neighbor offered to barter some new paint on the tins for some work on a lawnmower and trailer so the Maxim may wake up soon.

Been away for a while riding my 390 Duke, the XJ700 Cali has been sitting idle.

Been gone a while, moved to SW Florida, been a crazy past couple months, but I brought the XJ700 with me.

I disagree, I just cleared it down to 3 messages, it tells me I am only 30%

Hey, that's what I've got, except mine has the California stuff on it. So it's technically an XJ70NC

It's just not the ideal way to travel on a motorcycle. My last big bike had a 275 miles range, much more fun for long rides.

I've taken long trips on my old Harley 883 with the 2 gallon peanut tank, same routine stopping every 100 miles. It can be done

Due to relatively small tank (>3 gallons).

Engine should be good for a lot of miles if the valves are in spec and the oil is regularly changed. Probably not suited for long distance.
