    Crank Case Gasses

    crackcase pressure - the reason the breather is there - is typically cuased by blowby past the rings. Normal until you get to much of it.

    obviously you want to get any vacuum leaks or mechanical issues sorted before you try to tune it. if there is no vacuum leak you likely need...

    You may not advise taking those cap screws off but when the boots need to be replaced there isn't much choice.

    I managed to snap the heads off a few of the studs that hold the boots - that go between the carb and the cyl head - to the cyl head....
