Does that bike use spring loaded roller pins 9n the one way drive for the starter clutch? ( like old hondas?)
I would get ahold of Len at XJ forever, banner at top, and just order a proper new one instead of bastardizing the wiring... just saying.
Yup! Was the one on the left! Used the spare, just gotta remember to replace it! Thanks again! Didn't know they were there!
I should have elaborated Before I started, brakes were always very stiff if you were braking much harder than average. About half way I'd say....

I still recommend getting originals! however if yr stuck..... Use the jaw on an open end wrench or a caliper to measure the groove width in mm....
I would just clean the dowel well and apply a small dab of grease or antisieze on assembly. No need to pull it out.
Try heat and an easy out, if it wont turn then its cast in and will have to be drilled out
Measure the groove on the boot. Or just order some from xjforever.
Btw, i rode my bike today... Just cruised a while on the highway for shits n giggles. Really enjoyed passing a motorhome pulling a car... 3rd gear...
I allways remove those screens and install an inline or keep yr tank clen and say eff it. They are the worst place to plug, have to pull the rack,...
For the front i could superheat the spokes then drive down the road and jam the brakes on to curve em? ;)

Fiinally got that thread to load, ingenious device. Note, not all spark plug sockets have the same hex size for the wrench end. Be sure thats right
Just for curiosity sake is it like some wonky-doodle insideout torx? Or a 12 point?
This forum is for tech questions and fixes, so get wrenching! :)
