Gonna copy your exhaust setup and I am already running with pods. Did you rejet? If so what size jets or how much did you increase from original size jets. Again nice build.

I did rejet, but it was part of a custom calibrated kit from sigma6 (look for them on ebay). They took into consideration what the model was, what elevation I ride the bike at, and what modifications I made to the exhaust and intake. They also had me permanently modify the slide valves, shim the needles, and one or two other things. Black magic voodoo.

Wish I could get a better look at those forward controls.

When you do, I'd suggest keeping the original pegs on at the same time. It's nice to be able to adjust foot positions on longer trips.

Oh I'll definitely keep them on… Only thing that's holding me up finding the rods and the Ball joints that I want to use!

i like the raw look you used on the tank! id like to get color like that on my tank, but id like to add a weathered sun zia around the fill hole. anyway, is this paint or raw steel with clear coat?

I have an '82 Yamaha Maxim XJ650(J) as well, and am looking to replace my Brake Line (Brake Hose 1+Joint+Brake Hose 2).
Do you know where exactly I can go to purchase them (steel braided preferably)?

Was switching out your front turn signals difficult I just got my aftermarket turn signals in the mail today and want it to look clean
    1. BaldWonder
Well, that's hard to answer. Taking the old ones off was easy, and rerouting the wires to the headlight bucket was somewhat easy. I can't speak to how easy it is to put different lights where the stock lights go as I had an aftermarket headlight-mounted setup.

Please any info you have on pea-shooter style mufflers (slip on, size, supplier, etc?) would be appreciated. Nice job with your XJ.
    Thanks

      Thanks.
The shorty baffles on my bike are from OldBikeBarn.com. They're meant to be slip-ons, but I welded them in. Here's a link to them.
