    Has anyone took there xj to the dragstrip?
    me and my buddy did on friday. My first time down the track was a 14.5 at 91.2 MPH I no it can do better. There was another xj there on a midnight max he was running 13.5 and said he has gottin under 13 sec.

    Factory says it should do 11.2 in the 1/4 mile out of the box. I don't think so.

    I have done 11.7 second 1/4 mile at 104 mph on a built seca 550. Blew away a gsxr once. Lights start goin down. I take off just as soon as I saw green if not before. Didnt red light but reaction time was in the 500's. I go into a full tuck and start banging thru the gears. The whole time I am expecting the Gsxr to blow by me... Go thru the lights and as I let off he passes me and just stared at my bike, Kind of goin WTF is that thing???. I just smiled. Best time was against a ninja 250. You can hear the guys in the booth betting hotdogs. I hear Big Willy bet 10 hot dogs on the Ninja, I turn around and spot the 250 6 seconds.. never heard him bet against me again :)

    i just need to go and do it more and tune the bike alittle better. my reaction time was .56 lol pretty slow. first time going on a dragstrip with anything.
