    I own an 82 XJ1100. I need to replace the carb boots but not sure where to buy them. I know I am running Mikuni carbs but not sure of the model. cant find it printed on the cast.

    I looked on MikesXS and found some boots but not sure which ones I need.

    Does anybody know where to get these for the best price.

    Thanks so much.

    You talking airbox-to-carb boots or carb-to-manifold boots?

    I just poked through Chacal's price list, and he doesn't seem to have the airbox-to-carb boots for the 1100. He does have manifold boots, on the other hand (plus the gaskets, seals, clamping rings, vacuum caps. mounting bolts...)

    RUBBER INTAKE MANIFOLDS & RELATED:

    ww7) OEM and reproduction INTAKE MANIFOLDS, both original and reproduction individual manifolds and complete sets are offered to allow you to replace cracked, dry-rotted, vacuum-leaking (making carb tuning impossible......) originals. These are the vulcanized rubber-over-aluminum tubes that run from the front of the carbs to the cylinder heads!

    NOTE: the reproduction manifolds are excellent quality, basically indistinguishable from the originals. However, the gaskets that come with them are a very thin paper style, much less substantial than the originals, although they probably will work okay. You might want to consider buying some of the original manifold-to-head gaskets when ordering a reproduction kit.......

    HCP1230 Reproduction Yamaha rubber INTAKE MANIFOLDS, complete set of 4 intake manifolds (2 left and 2 right). OEM quality at a better price! Includes a set of 4 manifold-to-head gaskets. Fits all XJ1100 models. Set of 4:
    $ 144.00

    ww8) Yamaha intake manifold-to-head GASKET and O-RING. Seals the intake manifold to the cylinder head mating surface. A "must-replace" item whenever the intake manifolds are removed for any reason.

    HCP6324 OEM intake manifold-to-head GASKET, used on all XJ1100 models only. Each:
    $ 8.50

    HCP6324SET4 OEM intake manifold-to-head GASKETS, set of 4:
    $ 32.00

    im4) OEM intake manifold metal CLAMPING RING, includes the cinching screw. These are used on the carb end of the manifold only.

    HCP2894 OEM intake manifold metal CLAMPING RING, used on all XJ1100 models, each:
    $ 7.00

    HCP2894SET4 OEM intake manifold metal CLAMPING RINGS, set of 4:
    $ 24.00

    Yeah I am loking for the manifold boots. I thought maybe they were offered somewhere else. $144 is a little steep for this old XJ.

    Sorry Gwyndwr. didn't want to upset anyone. I would like to find a good deal too.

    Thanks for the replies.!!

    You could just seal them on the inside.
