soo this was my first bike when i was like 15 so i could learn to ride. Been sitting in the shed for god knows how many years, Decided im going to sell it. Soo brought it out the shed and god is it disgusting looking now :( so im tearing it apart and Crack.... spark plug snaped in the head  soo after searching my garage for a easy out i found one and oh thank god came right out!! so after that freak out for a second i took the carb off and took it apart and have it soaking. Emptied out the oil took the nasty air filter out, emptied the gas thats prolly 8 years old. Next step to pressure wash the years of dirt and cobb webbs off  and then put it back together and hope it starts! so i can sell it and have the money to buy my new progressive shocks for my Maxim from Chacal!!

I am the original owner of a 78 Twinstar. Mine sat forgotten in the shed at my sisters for about 24 years after a bad engine job by the Honda dealer in Revestoke B.C. Dragged it out a couple years ago,got her running then with the help of my daughter we tore it down and redid it. Gets to sit in the front room of my house now. Shall pass it on to my daughter some day.

I'm afraid I wouldn't, just don't like the style. I'd rather pick up an older CB350.

Those Twinstars bring back memories. Back in the day, I was a service manager and later general manage of a Honda Dealership on Cape Cod. I remember selling quite afew of those little bikes and they were very easy to service and/or work on. If taken care of, those engines were quite reliable and would run without mishap. When left sitting and neglected, that's when problems arise (like with any other machine). Yup, they're small machines, but they get the job done and fun to ride on short hops around town (cheap on gas too).

our family had one too, a 200 CC Twinstar - 1980?
It ran my older sister and younger brother around,
with a windscreen, it topped out at 70 MPH, and stil got
around 70 MPG. It ran flawlesly. In '84 we sold it.
