    Is it just me or is this twice the value of the bike?
    1980 YAMAHA XS850 - $1300
    It seems like this whole bike will need lots of love and repair.

    Granted I'm a n00b, but I think it would depend on the condition of the bike. I just paid $1000 for my 82 xj1100, and it has a few small problems. Cosmetically it's in what I would label as good condition, not great or flawless by any means, but nothing major. Mechanically it has a few little "hiccups" as well, but at this time I'm not thinking it's anything major either. I feel like I got a decent deal on it.
