    Hey guys,

I have just bought a 1981 seca XJ750 to rebuild and thought this is a good place to join.

The bike I have has the original tank on it currently but I really like the style of the Seca 550's. Does anyone know if they bolt pretty much straight on, or is there any other tanks that have a similar look that are easy to put on?

I'm getting a seat made etc so matching up with the seat isn't an issue.

    Cheers!

I used a 550 tank on my '84 750 (it has the 900 frame), but needed to trim the mounting pegs on the frame. Others have hammered the tank mounting points to make it wider. Not sure if it would be the same case for an 81 seca. Either way, it's not to hard to get it to fit and the 550 tank looks awesome :)
