1981 xj650 maxim has no spark

Hello all, I recently purchased a 1981 xj650 maxim that hadn’t run in about a month. Has recently tuned carbs but no spark, no neutral light and the wiring was all messed up and the start button was not working so I tested a bunch of stuff and bought all new wiring including: harness, all relays, stator, ignition coils, pulser coils, neutral safety switch, rectifier, tci box and everything. I have got the neutral light to turn on and the blinkers to sort of work (they are led I do not have the relay yet) and I rewired the ignition to the side of the bike but still it won’t turn over. Though it does turn over the engine and I can smell gas when gapping the solenoid, which I have also replaced twice along with the battery. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
