1982 xj650 engine needed

    According to my mechanic, no compression in 3out of 4 cylinders and cam broke. I need a complete, running motor. Can anybody help? Im in NE Ohio. PM, post or txt 234.567.7163 if you can help or know of somewhere for me to look.

    I might have one for you... im from CT thoe. The motor ran nicely when the PO took off the intake carb boots off. He snapped some(most) of the bolts. i dont own the parts till friday, so i can PM/post/txt more then. im not going to be looking to make alot of money just make what i spent on it and shipping. its not the cleanest or the prettiest but it does still have compression, and apperently didnt rattle. i can check that for you on Saturday.

    why not look to see if there's no compression BECAUSE the cam is broken.........it MAY be possible to put a new cam in. If the valves are ok, you could be back in business.

    I Have also seen the cam chain sprocket break, and may APPEAR that the cam is broken.

    Seriously consider checking out the cam itself first, before throwing down for another engine..............

    OK, i have the motor, it is dirty, and there are broken bolts in most of the intake boots mounting holes. the PO did a shit job of removing this motor, it does have compression thoe. can upload pictures, looking to get 250$ for it (from people on this site) + S+H. will include starter if you would like doesn't bother me ether way
