I was going to go for a ride yesterday and discovered that the battery was dead so I grabbed the jumper cables and got it going. I let it idle for a while and then I hopped on and was going to go for a ride.

I got about a 1/4 mile down the road and it just stalled and would not restart. I made sure I had gas - check and then I checked for spark - no check.

Could this just be a need for a new battery? It's only two years old.

    Or maybe the coils?

    Thanks,
    Becky

Fully charge the battery and take it to an auto parts store (i.e. Autozone) so they can do a load test on it.
I bought a Walmart battery for my son's Radian last year. It was junk this spring. Get what you pay for.
If you need a new battery, I suggest an AGM. I've had mine for 6 years and it still starts the bike like it was new.

If you ever take a trip west on I90,RT5 or RT20, look me up. I live about 1/2 a mile west of the stateline.
