Bought about 2 months ago. I've stripped it down, painted the frame, gas tank, swing-arm, etc and I'm now starting to put everything back together.

    Items not going back on:
    Turn Signals
    Fenders
    Fog Light
    Decorations....

Items I still need to get:
    MAC 4-1 Exhaust
    Handlebar Risers
New handlebar controls for 1 inch bar
    Forward Controls
    Headlight/Taillight
    Tires
    Misc, brakes, oil, etc...

About to post a few pics

Well, I'm about 60-70% there, engine back in, just down to exhaust, tires, brakes and brake lines, forward controls and I'll be riding. I'll post pics later, always seem to have trouble posting.

Hey man, glad to hear about your progress. It's always exciting to get some stuff done, and even more exciting to be so close to finishing! Looking forward to seeing those finished pics. Good luck, and ride hard.

It was new to me in May 2012 and I rode it stock for several weeks before I decided (it was the original intention) to strip it down and begin the bobber project. My goal is for it to be road ready by spring.

Ugh! Wiring!! I was torn between attempting to re-use as much of the factory wiring as possible, but now I think I'm going to use the XJ minimum wiring diagram I found on this site. Anyone else used it?

I used it but modified it a bit to include after market turn signals and a few other things Work's great. Was going to do same thing use existing wiring harness but it was so old and messed up I just made a new one from scratch. and Nice job on your build.
