I have a 82 XJ750 Maxim for parts. The guy I got it from said it hadn't been started in 8+ years. The motor turns fine, odometer shows 6,000 miles. I think it either probably fell over, there are a few scuffs on the right side and a few broken cooling fins. Bike is complete minus a few parts I took off. Let me know what you need! I can ship USPS flat rate. [IMG]

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm asking people to make offers. I stay really busy. I figure the less time I take haggling prices, or calculating shipping means the less you have to pay. Just get on eBay and see what they are selling for, then figure flat rate shipping USPS and shoot me an offer. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to threadjack, but I'm curious as to why it's being parted.

Im parting it out because I can, I want to, and its taking up space in my buddies garage. I bought it as a parts bike, I got the parts I needed off it, now im parting it out. Why is it any concern of yours what I do with it? If you are interested in buying it as a complete bike then by all means let me know before I take it apart! If not, and if you do not need parts, then... exactly.

    Ah, okay. Just curious.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Slow down, big fella -- I'm not busting your chops or anything. The bike looked intact, so I was wondering. Idle curiosity, nothing more.

Okay, I started taking it apart so here are some pictures. I'll email them to whoever sent me email addresses with a parts request. I have another 82 xj750 Maxim that I will be starting a build on soon so I'll have additional parts for sale. AND I just bought another 82 xj750 Maxim today that I am also going to build, so I will have even more factory parts.

I haven't had time to do much this past week besides work. If you need parts ASAP, check eBay. As soon as I can get these bikes stripped down I'll get more pics and get shipping quotes. At this rate I'll need to hire elves to get parts shipped before Christmas! :)
Please make offers it saves me having to haggle back and forth on prices. ;)

Oh, and if you see it in a picture then I have it unless its been sold. I'm not in the used parts business, just need to get this stuff out of the way before I start my next XJ build. I'll try to work faster, but recently had back surgery to repair a torn disc... So I'm doing what I can. :)

Hope to sell enough parts to buy a decent heater. It's freakin colder than a well diggers hiney in January in this garage.

Okay, here is a list of parts, there are more, but this is what I have gotten off so far.

    82 XJ750 parts

rectangle headlight with housing and mounting bracket - 2 ea.
smaller rectangle auxilery light - 2 ea
    front fender - 3 ea
front rectangle turn signals - 1 set
rear rectangle turn signals - 2 sets
Mirror, right side - 2 ea
    reflectors - 2 sets
    4 into 1 exhaust - 1 ea
stock exhaust complete - 1 ea
sissy bar/ rear seat bar thing - 2 ea
license plate bracket with storage compartment - 2 ea
left side cover - 1 ea
seats, in decent shape but not perfect - 2 each
YAMAHA fork emblem - 2 ea
left front rectangle turn signal - 1 ea
factory tool kit - 1 ea
Master cylinder complete to both calipers - 1 ea
    rear fender - 1 ea
    tail/stop light assembly - 2 ea
    shocks - 2 sets
foot pegs and shift linkage - 2 sets

So, I'll go back through my PMs and then go from there. Please make offers, Im no parts guru and don't expect top dollar, just be fair. It sseems like sometimes it cost more to ship stuff than its worth, but I'll ship it if you want or need it. I don't work at UPS or at the post office so use your best guess on shipping cost.... Man, Im beat... This is hard work, but I hate to see good parts go to waste and I don't have room to store stuff.
