I'm sure I saw a thread on here at one point about an instrument cluster/atari teardown guide. My RPM needle has been going crazy for a bit and now my speedometer needle is going crazy. I want to get in there and lube it up/fix it but no clue where to start.

The cluster will need pulled out of the bracket 2 10mm nuts . Pull the 2 bolts out of the head light and pull it forward this will make it easier to access the nuts pull up on cluster after nut removal . On the back of the cluster are 4 screws , remove and cover comes off . There are 4 10mm nuts holding on the bracket remove these and bracket . There are like 10 screws around the cluster remove these and carefully extract cluster from the face cover...DO NOT touch face of tach or speedo you do not want to get finger prints on these. To remove speedo there are 2 small screws on the white part of cluster , now slide speedo out the Atari has a small clear part the protrudes but will slide out. The speedo can be lubed with PB blaster with a nozzle down into the gimble this is what drives out and gives a loud howling noise. You can do the same to the tach to pull it there are 3 wires that need to be pulled ...mark or label . Reassemble cluster and try it out .
