Hey guys Im new here and I have 82 maxim xj750j with a broken starter chain guide. Mine has 3 bolts that secure it to the case and I ordered a new one original oem part and it only has 2 bolts to hold it to the case, my center brace broke on mine and was wondering if anyone knows if they redesigned this booger with out the center support for just that reason, it breaks there?? Anyone know?? and yes I called power sports and they confirmed that that is the correct guide although there diagrame clearly shows 3 support bolts and braces that hold it to the casing.

You may want to email Chacal about that. For all we know you may have gotten one for another style 750 that's has that little difference. Hope it works out for you.

Actually, we were discussing chain guide replacement earlier. Len said that the new ones only have 2 attachement points and that this is normal.

I recommend PM'ing him and double-checking. I don't want to be accused of handing out bad gouge.
