Hear me out. I may or may not have bought a half finished build. I Just recently got into these threads and I decided to write my own. I Turn 18 in November and I wanted something to work on and learn to fix until Its time to ride. I may have Bought something of what my father and his friends call "A Deathtrap". What I can say is I need a new Wire Harness but I bought an XS1100 Wire Harness which from reading here, the wiring seems to be pretty different. Honest opinions are welcome Just a Dude looking to learn his machine. My Plan is to someday take long trips across the states, see places I've never seen and make memories. Ive done some work of my own, going to remove the carb and give it a deep clean, Let the tank soak with vinegar as well. Screenshots_2023-10-05-18-18-41.png

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have a project on your hands there for sure. Above all make sure the bike is safe to drive. Good brakes and all the parts (Seat and front fender) are on securely.

You will have to give us good detailed questions for what you are doing. Why do you need a new wiring harness for this bike? Has it been pulled off the bike. It is not there? Lots of hacked wires?

You are also running PODS on the bike as the air box has been removed, that comes with adjustment issues as well. These bikes come with Continuous Velvety (CV) carbs and are designed to have a air box to make them work right. Now you can make them work right with enough playing around with the PODS, it is just hard to lean on imho.

Good luck with the project, do a lot of searching on the forum for you needs. Lots of great people on here with really good info. If you need any parts, the top right of any page is the forum sponsor and he is great, will hook you up with the right parts the first time.
