1982 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim [Trade parts]

Hello friends,

Im Preston i have recently acquired a 1982 XJ650 Maxim from a family member. it has some issues but along with those issues i was given a second motor (was running(parts donor)) a few extra rims, 3 tanks 3 seats (2 in good cond). the bike was a complete bike and running the carb boots were leaking so they removed the carbs (i also have 2 complete sets and a parts set all running carbs) and during the removal they broke many bolts flush with motor (held carb and boots on) to be exact only 2 bolts survived.

so im here on this amazing forum in the trade section with one thing in mind...

carb boots on ebay and everywhere i can find are aprox 80-100$.. now ATM im unemployed and my wife just started new job.

i would like to do some trading i have quite a few extra parts that i paid nothing for and i think we could trade if not local to Burlington NC we can discuss shipping...

Wanted-
4 Carb boots AKA intake boots (Good condition)

What i have-
1 Rear Wheel with Rubber and an open hub with break (not sure of condition its not froze tho)
1 front Wheel with Rubber and Disk Break (not sure of condition as im no break pro)
1 Tank with minor dings and an unfinished bondo job (tested for leaks it was sealed)
2 extra seats (1 in bad condition 1 in decent condition)
a few extra motor parts like fenders and a parts motor
1 extra set of carbs (were running when pulled from the above parts bike)

all parts were good and working Title was lost for parts bike so we bought it real cheap.

are you willing to split up motor?

 

Actually i have since learned of the inner tube trick and it worked my Boots are good as new. but on the other hand i will sell the parts i listed above still. and the motor i have available (spare) has a few parts missing not sure if it would be worth it for you (due to weight) unless you were local. but yes i will sell the spare motor and frame not sure of a price so shoot one my way.

 

Would you sell me the stop cable attached to the clutch lever? If you can get it off that is, its a pain.

Also interested in the gage housing.

Yes i will send you pics of both available seats also what cable exact are you asking for? also Guages arent for sale i only have one set (assuming you means spedo and such)

 

There's only one one cable attached to the the clutch lever----that would be the clutch cable. Maybe he's thinking of a clutch switch and didn't know what to call it.....

 

Would you be willing to sell the extra set of carbs?
