I got a 1982 Yamaha xj750 Maxim that I’m planning on doing a scrambler build with. I have recently bought 13.5 inch rear suspension along with an 82 Seca 18 inch rim and drum brake panel to give me some extra clearance and tire options. I am confused on what to do with the front suspension, is there anyway I can keep the original fork but add different springs to give me an inch lift or would stiffening up the springs accomplish the same goal. I also got different bars and im planning on completely redoing the electrical with a different gauge set up with new lights and signals, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
