Apparently it doesn't run now--the carbs aren't on it. Maybe hogfiddles might want to contact them.

Naaaah...... That's not a 900. It's a 750 that someone wants to THINK (or wants others to lead others to think) that it's a 900.

    Why do I say it's a 750?

    Well......

750 Seca rear peg mounts, not 900rk
750 Seca forks, not 900rk (no place for the fork brace to bolt on)
750 Seca pegs, not the 900rk pointy ones
750 Seca rims, not the 900 rims
750 Seca Drum brake, not the 900rk disc brake
750 Seca valve cover, not the 900rk cover

I'm not gonna keep going on.... But you get the idea.......

And yeah.....it sure ain't running without any carbs

I was going to be generous and imagine that it's a 900 in a 750 frame-half. Now I have to cut my retail estimate down to $200, less carbs = $100 parts bike, but +$50 if it has a clean title in the seller's name (because some hipster will easily give $4k for it once it's "finished" being "built").

    It's not a 900 engine, and it's so rough, I wouldn't go to even $200

because when you call it a bobber you can ask for a bucket load of money
Had a local guy selling his bobber creation wanted 2500$ for it. it was a 250cc top end 65mph. would not pass inspection no blinkers.
problem was you had to ride in the valley or down hill cause it wasnt going up any of the hills to get out of town
he still has it and still wants 2500 for it .
I beeped as i crused by him all summer long
I like the bobber style but it has to be the proper bike to start with

beauty is in the eye.............. just like a stick.

    This is a bobber[IMG]

This is a attempt which could look good as a bobber

Can you imagine hitting a big bump and landing on the back wheel?? If you survived your voice would go up at least several octaves!

The big question is how do you stop the thing?

    That's not difficult at all...
1- there's no carbs on it, so it's not going to be moving very much

2- even if it does move a bit, the rear brake drum is there....

That is one big hot mess... and what on earth did he do to the frame on the back half of the bike? Wild horses could not drag me onto that for a ride...

You want to talk scary check this bad boy out... supposedly from a 'custom' bike shop in town. Check out the angle of the seat, and of course no rear fender. Is it just my imagination, but if you were riding at speed, slid back and hit that spot where the rear wheel is rotating furiously, I see getting folded in half while being sucked in 00j0j_7qo71uxsVY3_600x450.jpg , and then spit out the back... OUCH :)

No need to worry about that bike......i'ts not going to be going anywhere fast without any wiring anywhere......

Wonder ow much they'd charge to add a wiring harness to that?

I'm not even going to get started on a whole list.

Typically it was just no front brakes. All of the old (anything from 1920-1960) dirt track bikes I've been around (and hillclimbers) had functioning rear brakes. Most all of the early motorcycles had small leather or steel band brakes, so it's easy to see how the idea that they didn't have any brakes came about (plus early brakes didn't exactly work well).

The riders weren't crazy; they were just better than us ;).

And just for fun, no helmets either! Or padding of any sort! And a suicide shift! Did these people have a death wish?
