1983 Yamaha Xj 900 for sale

I have for sale 1983 Yamaha xj 900. It does run but needs to have gas tank leaks repaired. It leaks on both rear corners of the tank. I will post pictures as I have time. It’s mostly all original with a few minor exceptions. It is almost complete but missing the small fairing pieces as well as two side plastics. I purchased one which is a different colored red than the bike. I purchased the gas tank separate but it is the matching gas tank, reupholstered the seat as well as new tires and also have 3 hard travel bags that I will post pictures of as well when I get a chance. A) you are going to miss it severely when it's moved on to a new caretaker.
B) what sort of price are you looking to get for it?

 

Honestly I don’t think I will. Circumstances of life prevent me from enjoying it anyhow, it has sat parked in my garage for an entire year without anytime to work on it as I’m a single dad to my girls and have full custody. Just on a realistic note, I’ll probably miss it some but I just haven’t got the time to fix the tank or really enjoy it.

I'm just down the road in Minneapolis and have 4 of these lovelies and some spare parts including 2 fuel tanks. I tried selling 2 of the bikes last summer but nobody was offering near what they were worth.

I had to get divorced a while back (luckily no kids) before I could get back into motorcycles. New wife understands and now I have 6 kids and 9 classic motorcycles. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance with your 900.

Is it in the cards this year, sadly no. I feel your pain with the teens. Mine are 19 and 16, sadly no spousal support for them riding (which makes no sense to me because one rides horses.....).
