I live in Canada. I bought my Seca 900 a few weeks ago. I recently saw on ebay that a guy located close to my place is parting out a 1984 Seca 750RL, which is supposed to be sort of a Seca 900 with a 750cc engine.

There is very little to no information about these 1984 Seca 750 on the web, and all of the parts suppliers I have in my web favorites don't even list this bike.
My question is: what are the parts that would or wouldn't fit on my Seca 900? I might be interested in buying at least front and rear calipers and master cylinders to rebuild them and put them on my bike later, and maybe rear disc rotor if within thickness specs. Other than brake parts, what would fit?

I got a look at the "Information Overlaod Hour" here but it didn't clarify this point.

I think the calipers and masters are the same, but - to make sure, you could measure the bolt holes center-to-center on these parts, and the rotor thickness. You could even take pics and print them out (assuming you wouldn't take the bike with you)

    Hi:
Here is a previous post, someone had the same question. Lots of the parts are interchangeable, they even share the same factory shop manual.

Len at XJ4ever has most of the parts you will need to keep it running. Body parts and original exhaust systems are getting harder to find.
    Great old bikes.

Thank you! I read that thread you put a link for, and visited the cyclepartsnation site to find the same problem: 1983 Seca 900 is listed but the 1984 Seca 750 is nowhere to be found.

My guess is that anything but engine, carbs and exhaust system would fit, but there's no way to make sure in advance. I think I'll buy a few parts first and go ahead if they fit well.

Grab the entire bike. The only difference is the engine, and exhaust. Otherwise it is the same thing as the 900. With the frame mount fairing!

It could have been a good idea, but I know for sure the bike is not complete any more, the guy has started to part it out recently. I will ask him if he would sell what's left of it.
