    Hey all,

Okay my wife's xj750's tachometer only works after the bike has warmed up really good.

When she starts it in the morning the tack doesn't work but by the time she gets to work, about 7 miles (12 kms), it starts working. Then after work it works right away.

    Any ideas.

    Dave....

It's an electronic unit but it still has mechanical parts.

It's probably just gummy. One or two drops of a good penetrating lube (NOT WD40) on the needle pivot point on the back of the instrument itself will probably fix it. (Some disassembly required.)

Either that or you have a wiring connection somewhere that doesn't like to work until its surroundings get hot.
