I'm putting this bike up for sale on XJBikes first as this site has helped me so much and I'd like a fellow forum member to have first dibs.

I picked this gem up in 2007 with 14K miles and am the fourth owner. Finding one this clean that hasn't been restored is near impossible.

It has led an easy life. The first owner bought it new, rode for a few years then it sat for 15 years. The guy I bought it from bought it off his friend who picked it up from the original owner around 2005. It has always been garaged except for 6 months when I lived in an apartment and then it was always covered.

I just did a sync and colortune and it’s running great. EVERYTHING works on this bike. The carbs are spotless and in excellent condition and we all know they are the heart of these bikes. It just needs a little elbow grease to shine everything up as it has been garaged for awhile.

The bad: It has light rust in the tank which I treated with oil when I had the tank off for painting. It also currently sports a satin black rattle can paint job. This was temporary until I could get it painted but other priorities arose and I never go around to it. All the tins were removed and sanded down for painting off the bike.

would you be interested in selling the colortune or synch gauges? I have that exact bike and am restoring it and I need to do both
