1985 xj700x turn signal relay how to install??

How do i install the led relay to make my led turn signals flash. Right now when I hit the turn signal it just turns on the light at the turn signal and does not flash.

 

should be a 2 prong relay with power in and load tab. got a pic or link to it maybe with a wiring diagram for the relay

Br(own) wire is hot lead. Br/W wire should be load

is the relay adjustable? knob or recessed screw.

 

22 is relay W/G goes to reed switch which you will not be using. no Idea what Y/R wire is think it may be part of the cancelling circuit or push to cancel function
the Ch and Dg wires go to left right bulbs from controler #23

 

The relay is underneath the seat it's a 9 wire relay runs the turns signals, signal cancellation, and starter relay

 

With the combined units the appropriate wires will need to be extracted from the main harness and connected to the added relay to run LED's. Not sure anyone had done a clean install on this by changing terminals and adding a suitable connector to plug the new flasher into. I suspect LEN would have all the parts you need to keep it neat.

The Y/R is the reset for the self cancelling feature, and a momentary ground is applied when the turn signal switch is pushed left or right that subsequently enables the flasher relay and allows the indicators to start blinking. With the combined unit on the XJ700 the Y/G flasher control wire on the self cancelling unit is internal, and consequently does not allow adding the extra relay to maintain the self cancelling feature; unless maybe there is access inside the combined unit.

The push to cancel places the left control switch in the "N" position, and opens all lines to cancel the left or right indicators.
