i have a 1985 Maxim X with 36,xxx miles on it. Its in great condition as far as the body is concerned with only a small scratch on the tank 3/4" in length. The bike was stored for 8 years and I took it out of storage changed the battery did an oil/filter change and started it up. The carbs will need to be gone through...have trouble getting it to idle below 2000 rpm. Also 2nd gear is out. I keep meaning to fix it but I just shift past it.

The bike is in a Detroit Suburb.

The bike is blue in color.

    $850

    its an 85 XJ700 Maxim X

It has been in storage for a while. It is pretty much as stock as it comes. You sure can't tell its 24 years old.

I think you may be expecting a bit much considering 2nd gear is out. that's either a total tear down, or engine replacement. I just sold a running everything is fine x with 16xxx mi on it for 850. I'm not being a *&^%, just wanted to let you know.

I bought an 85 xj700 with 18,480 on it and in good running condition
    for 500.00 last fall.
Only thing I had to replace was the rear tire cause I was planning on a trip.
