1991 xj900f issues

    The fuel & clock light& the rev counter light packed in so I stripped the fairing and found a bodged loom it looks like someone has cut into the loom to create a new feed for these two lights but i cannot see where it went. When I removed fairing some rusted away choc block fell out but I cannot suss it out.

    I'd just replace the lightbulbs and see if that's the trouble before investigating the wiring.

    Got further in to it, the bulbs are fine, stripped the wrapping off the loom down to the connectors and found a broken piece of wire, joined them and voila all lights working.
    Gonna have some tea then wrap it all up and put it back together.

    There's still a few dodgy bits which I will cut out and replace them it can all go back together.
