Has anyone have a clue/schematic/drawing (pencil or crayon) diagram or any idea what the hose/pipe layout is for these?
all I know is petrol is peeing out of the 2nd one in from the right and even though I have the manual, it says sod all about them! Looks like a breather as it’s higher than what I think is the overflow ones.
If I leave my petcock on and the engine isn’t running, it starts pouring out of it,
Bike has been triked and tank modified and think carbs have to as it has k&n cones on, fuel hose goes in the middle and every other hose hangs down going to nothing..
Sorry about long winded tripe etc. t.i.a..

    Tommy

    peace out

Sounds like you have a stuck float in that carb. Tapping on it with a small object on the bowl might unstick the float. Make sure you check your oil as well, if this has been happening for a while, you might have contaminated your oil with gas as well.

stripped carbs and cleaned out jets and floats, blasted carb cleaner everywhere all nice and moving, no sticking etc, even got new float bowl gaskets, put everything back together today and wouldn't you know it!! exactly the same issue, runs perfect, turn off and left petcock to on position and it started spurting out fuel through the same hose!! oh oil is fine and new fuel, no contamination. confused

Still sounds like a stuck float. Is there enough clearance on each side of the floats so nothing will catch? Are the bowl gaskets extra wide and protrude on the inside?

The little pins holding the floats in place seemed to let the floats move easy? I have had that happen a time or two when the pins needed to be filed down a little. The bowl fill jets are rubber tipped or metal? If you used spay no the ones with rubber tips, that could have caused them to not seal anymore. Might want to try a bench test setup so that you don't have to keep pulling them out of the bike. If you have a vice you could put them in the vice, make sure they are level and plum and then add fuel to them. That will check to see if the issue is still there after your next check.

plenty of room both sides, float moves nice and easy and measured the same as the other 3, brand new bowl gaskets on and seemed like they were a perfect fit, no obstructions. i've sent for a carb repair kit, hopefully it will be here in the next day or so. thanks
