Hi i have a friend "cleaning up" a Diversion he just bought and is wondering what the 2 barbed pipes are poking out between top of the carbies that don't see to go any where. There's no holes in the airbox for them, they look like some sort of vent but they are just open, they're about 10-12mm in dia.

It is possible that they should have rubber tubes on them that go up & over the airbox.

They are atmospheric vents that double as overflow tubes in case you have a failed petcock and stuck needle.

There should be about a foot of hose attached to each and routed down out the bottom of the bike. My FJ has four of them.
