    I'm mostly OK. I have snow pants, a down vest, and a sweater to beat all sweaters made by my mother-in-law. Also have leather mitts with big fake fur gauntlets. Helmet has a double-pane snow shield.

    The only two problems I had were boots - they are windproof, but not lined - and the air coming in under the helmet.

    Haha knew mother in laws were good for something :D
    I'd recommend a "Buff" or similar to use as a neckscarf, they're brilliant

    That sweater has something like an 8 inch tall neck that folds over. Works good as a scarf. :)

    gotta get yourself a balaclava. that'll help with the helmet. thats what i use for anything 30 and below. i can ride with the damn shield up.

    throw on the snowmobile gear and ride! thats what ive been doing. no snow yet to break out the sleds yet

    Sound advice, but slower reactions only apply if you're actually cold not if you're out in the cold but wrapped up & warm :)

    That being said, I wonder if anyone's done an experiment to find the effects on reaction times/reduction in "feedback" from thickly padded gloves & the like :?

    used the grip and seat heaters on the FJR
