Not sure how they sound but I've seen them on a bobber at the shop I get my tires from. They look pretty cool kinda a classic look if that makes sense?

Interested in how these worked out for you.

I'm gonna need to replace my exhaust in the near future, as a reasonably inexpensive set would certainly be appreciated.

I'd like to know - after you've got them installed anyways - if they impacted flow and required rejetting or not.

I have them on and got the bike running. They look great and sound pretty good as well. I put a video of the bike running on my other thread. That video is of it running before I did a running sync and colortuned the carbs but still wasn't to bad.

I have the same universal gage and I'm about to dive into the wiring of it. Do you have any help or pics you took when installing yours ??

David I'm about to pull that gauge off and throw it as far as I can. There were no instructions on how to set it up and the wiring diagram was a Chinese to English diagram so The only part that actually does what it suppose to are the turn signal indicators, high/low beam indicator and neutral indicator. Tach doesn't work and speedometer I have no clue how to calibrate. I think I'm going to go with a mechanical speedometer and get another tach. I have notes on what the wires are and I can post them for you tomorrow when I'm home.

I actually picked up that gauge after doing a bunch of research on it and finding peoples builds from other bikes. It may take me a few weeks to finish as my build has started to slow down, but I will post results of it.

I will be installing this with the help of a motogadget m unit. So the wiring may be a little different from others.

Good luck with it and I hope you get it figured out. My wiring was all new as I did a complete rewiring of the bike. I do know there are many different versions of this gauge with different wire color combos.

Did you ever replace the gauge? I just successfully wired up that gauge in my bike. We can compare notes to help try and make that work if you haven't thrown it in the trash yet.

I'd be curious to see the wiring you came up with as well. I am about to install the gauge on my bike!

I should probably do a full write up on it. The main thing I remember without having all my notes is that:
    • The manuals reference to "oil" is the fuel sensor. On my bike I just sent that signal to ground since I don't have a field gauge.
    • The gauge needs a constant 12v battery signal to hold the settings as well as a keyed on 12v signal.
    • The gear position wires (1-6) you can ignore. Or use one of them for your low oil light. I chose to use the "position lamp" or running light idicator since it was a little redundant. (I can tell if my head lights are on)
    • The tach, since my bike had a mechanical gauge I spliced into the orange wire going to 1 of my coils. I then set the gauge to my bike being a 2 cylinder and compared the readings up to 4K against the stocks gauge with it lining up.
I will note, that the firmware from my version is different than every other version I've seen online in YouTube videos. I don't cycle through 5 pages of settings, they are all displayed in the setup screen. So I'll have to see how I can adjust the wheels speed sensor to give me an accurate speed

Any more updates on wiring ? I'm havin particular issues with my indicators working. It may be just a power issue though.

    Hi RTB,
Did those mufflers have glass packing, insert, or nothing inside?

    Thanks
