So, to recap the prior testing:

    Spark plugs are new.

I got my new TCI in the mail today. Brand new, not eBay used part. Plugged it in - still no spark.

On the attached diagram, with the key on B and B/W wires have continuity to ground. R/W, Gy and O from the coils have 12V.

I am officially out of ideas.

I believe the B/W wire goes to the ignition cutoff(side stand safety). If it is grounded it kills the ignition. Un-ground it and I think you will have spark.

I just looked at some wiring diagrams I have for each of my Yamahas. Each one has the B/W wire going to the safety circuit. My Venture has a short in the wiring harness so I had to cut that wire at the TCI to get it to run.
Trouble shoot your safety circuit first, could be just a bad side stand switch or relay. For a temporary check you can pull that wire from the TCI plug just to see if that is it.

    That was it.

The reason for it is the damnedest thing, though. The headlight and the kickstand relay were swapped.

The kickstand switch has been removed by the previous owner.

Now it fires up. Synch and colortune, and I should be good to go.
