    So, after about three years of intermittent tinkering, it lives. Rode it to work this morning.

    There are a couple of minor issues still, like an annoying resonant buzz (inner header pipe?) and a little front brake squeak, but I can deal with that eventually. I'm not sure if idle is high or not, but it's rock solid stable at 1500 RPM.

    congratulations! the idle speed should be around 1100 rpm plus or minus.
