650 seat on a 750

    Will an xj 650 seat mount on a 750 ?

    No, or at least, not without an incredible amount of modifications.

    Putting an XJ650 Maxim seat on the XJ750 Maxim (and vice-versa) will not work because there is a single latch on each side of the seat on the 750 and you have to push down both to release the seat.

    The 650 has has only one latch handle on the right side that is connected to a lateral cross-bar mechanism which goes over to the left side latch. This cross bar has the hook catches welded onto it.

    The two seat latches are all together different.
