I've taken a 750 Seca with a junk motor and a 650 maxim with a bent frame and a good motor and made 1 odd looking, but running bike. The engine bolted right into the seca with no problems, and used all the same electrical bits, had to modify the wiring harness slightly though. Oh yea, I had to modify the motor mounts slightly since the maxim has rubber mounts and the seca didn't. The round headlight, gauges and turn signals from the maxim all bolted on the seca with little modification. Your wanting to put a 750 in a 650 maxim? It's about the same as what I did in reverse! Check out my gallery if you want to see a few pics of it.

    KBS,
I changed my 750 Seca into a Maxim by swapping out the headlight to a round one (hated the square one)
Changed the front turn signal for smaller after market ones.
Cut the seat down and made a solo seat.
Changed the tank to one from a 650 Maxim (perfect fit with no mods)
Replaced the rear wheel (18") to one from a 650 Maxim (16" with wide tire)
Replaced the ugly handle bars with 10 mini apes with 4" risers
Got rid of the rear fender assy. and used a boat trailer fender for a more "bobbed" look.
Removed the front fender (what do I need that for anywho?)
Repainted and did some custom tribal flames and pinstriping on it.
Made new side covers out of aluminum and painted them to match the rest of the bike.
Lowered the rear end with 3" shock extenders I made.
Rear turn signals were replaced with chrome bullet shaped ones.
Used a LED truck tail light and made an aluminum housing out of diamond plated aluminum.
Then made a headlight visor out of the same diamond plated aluminum just for shits and giggles.
It turned out pretty well I thought and gets alot of compliments.
Oh ya...I replaced the 4-into-1 MAC exhaust with the header pipes and collector off of the 650 Maxim and used shorty (12") mufflers to give it a little "growl"
Here's a photo of it now...

I've seen your bike here before - didn't realize it started life as a Seca, tho. She's sweet - love the bobber look, but I'm leaning towards a "standard" canyon carver.

My motor's giving me a bit of grief, and I thought I had a line on the Seca mill. Alas, t'was not to be. Now I gotta get the CD ... and get to work!

Let me know how it goes, I'm doing a 750 motor to a 650 frame(both seca's) swap this winter. Good luck
