I'm finally getting around to starting cleanup on some of the brake parts; looking at the master cylinder, I've got the fluid level sensor. I get the idea it's supposed to come out; not wanting to trust the Haynes manual (I broke the brake light switch because it was less than clear as to how to remove it), I figured I'd ask here.

Question: does the fluid level switch push up from the bottom, and is there anything else holding it in place other than the screw inside the master cylinder?

schmuck, if your MC is anything like an XJ1100 MC, the sensor should come out through the reservoir, once the screw is out. helps a lot when trying to clean all the crud out of there...

My thoughts precisely. Thing is, it doesn't seem to want to budge.
