I would like some one to check my work. The patient is a 1980 XJ 650 with 22k miles. I measured the following (I don't know how the table will look):

exhaust valves all measurements in mm
    clearance shim
    cylinder 1 .17 270
    cylinder 2 .18 270
    cylinder 3 .18 275
    cylinder 4 .18 275

    intake
    cylinder 1 .14 295
    cylinder 2 .08 295
    cylinder 3 .08 295
    cylinder 4 .10 275

I plan to leave the exhaust as is and put 290 in the intake of 2 and 3 and put a 270 in 4. Did I figure this correctly?

I have tried to include a link to the shim chart so you won't have to look it up.

    Thanks bigfitz52.

    Thanks.
