I'm getting fuel to the carb bowls and the bike is turning over, but not cranking. Cleaned every tube in the carburetor that I could find and verified that it is open. All diaphrams needle jets in good condition and I've tried the fuel/air screw at 2.5 and 3.5 turns out, still not starting. Any ideas?

Make sure you are getting good spark. Even try new plugs. Went through this last week - I was running my bike weekly and would up with fouled plugs that looked fine and I even cleaned them good but bike would not start. New plugs and if fired right up.

After you check the spark. You might try to shoot some carb cleaner in the airbox and see if it will start that way. If it does you will have to tear into the carbs again. By cleaning the fuel enrichment circuit. It is the small hole in the float bowl. I missed that when I first was cleaning them. Try back and let us know what happens.

Update: I finally got the bike running, even rode it. However, as Bill has replied to my other post he probably already knows, I cannot get the bike running anymore. There is something causing the engine to die after putting it in gear and applying gas. Also, it seems that the bike is not running anymore either. Does anyone know what height the floats need to be set at?

Your sidestand switch or relay has failed. The engine thinks the sidestand is still down, and it's cutting the engine off when you put it in gear.

Disconnect the plug that goes to the sidestand and try again.

In your other thread I posted 7mm by mistake. The spec is 3mm +/- 1mm. Good luck.

Thanks for the post sushi, but the bike has no side stand and the center stand has no switch. Thanks for the measurement Robert. I have the haynes *SP book but I couldnt find the float measurements. What is the method for setting the floats. I have been bending the metal arms that are attached to the floats to sync them all so far and It has worked. But I have the feeling that it is not the correct method.
