Scrapped the whole bike, no frame or fuel tank left. Used the engine and carbs but have all of the running gear, fenders, etc... floating around taking up space. Also have the front end (tree, brakes, master cylinder etc..) off of an XS750. Tubes have tiny rust spots, I did polish some out years ago but ended up swapping out for a '83 turbo front assembly. Need to find good homes for all of it. Please drop me a line with requests and I'll get back to you (work and go to school full time, sorry). Bear in mind, I moved back in June and most of my parts are in storage. I will need time to go and unpack them but it never hurts to start putting the feelers out early. My unused stuff could be just what you are looking for. Regards.

I am in need of a complete headlight assembly for a 82 XJ650J. Do you have something that will work?

Describe complete, do you need the headlight frame, the bucket, the bezel, the lens...?? Just a reminder, I will not be able to do anything for about a month (I'm layed up 'till then).

    Robert,

Don't forget I'm still in need of a starter. I haven't been able to find one locally yet.

Robert, I would need everything except the frame. I took off a busted fairing and only had the lens and lamp. I found a housing (bucket?) at a salvage place in Acton for $15, but it is too small to hold the electical connectors that need to be out of the weather. I will not be able to reuse the lens and lamp.

As with all my goodies, they are packed away untill I find a house big enough to bring them back in. I am unable to process anything for a month (doctors orders). I'm very sorry guys. Please PM me with your requests and I'll hit them just as soon as mother nature lets me.

Doctor cleared you for action yet?

What condition/do you still have rear shocks and exhaust?

I've gotten back from the issues mentioned and been diagnosed with another issue. Turns out not only are my hips shot, but my lower spine is a pretzel. Doc mentioned fusing vertibra together. Dang it I hate getting old! I have the rear shocks still, they are in good condition (usual rust on the coils springs that I can't reach but serviceable otherwise) and half of an exhaust system (bike got swiped on one side). I also have the turn signals available, but they are not perfect, chrome is a little cloudy, might polish up.

Do you happen to have the head or are you selling the engine as a whole?

Not selling the motor, sorry. Needed the lower end myself and the head was pranged (cracked the head wide open). Spares are hard to come by cheap (whole bike for $50, one of those rare good deals). Hope you spot one soon.
