81 XJ 650. startin a project

    So I bought a xj 650 the other day for 200 bucks. Thing runs decent, but definitally needs some sugar to be good. Going to rat/bob the hell out of it as it really isnt in good/clean enough shape to keep stock (altough I always have my eyes open for something that is). I just couldnt pass up the toy to play with! Started out with it not runnin, and today she came alive- purrred like a cat chokin on a hairball...so def have some work todo but happy it ran.

    I am going to pull the carbs and start to go through the new bike list
    Brakes
    Oil
    fork seals
    full electrical overhaul
    plugs wires
    and obviously try to go through all the things the PO finger effed.

    I will keep u posted and get pics asap
