81 XJ550 Seca For Sale

I am refitting my bike and have removed the fairing/windshield, and will be removing the seat, and rear trunk and fender items very soon. I can provide pictures upon request. All items are in good shape, with one mark for the fairing, which has a very minor bit of damage to the fiberglass on one side. You can get a glimpse of these items in my gallery as they are in the same shape now as they were in those pictures. If interested I am looking for some fair offers for these items, either separately, or as a whole. I am registered with Paypal for payment options.

I am interested in the windshield. Would you be willing to sell it separately from the fairing? Does $50 seem fair? I would pay for shipping. I am also registered with Paypal.

Since these fairings seem to be so difficult to find, I would like to sell the fairing/windshield as one unit if possible. I think I would have a hard time selling the fairing without the windsheild in it. I would sell the combo for $75 if interested.

I have aquired a 82 750, and most of my time has been dedicated to it, so the 550 has been put on hold. The fairing and windsheild have sold, and the other parts may come soon, but for the moment, I will have to put a hold on this sale, keep you all posted. My wife has been eying the 550, so I can't tear it all the way down....yet.

Alright, an update on the 550 now. If anyone is interested, it is back up for sale. I will consider parting it out, but would much prefer to sell it complete if I can. It is mostly complete, with the exception of the windshield and fairing, which were sold a while back, and the hand controls, as I had removed them to replace, but they got damaged in the process. It runs well, needs a carb cleanup and tune, but otherwise it is a great bike. I'm selling it to raise funds for my XJ750 project, so make me some good offers, and please be fair. It was plated and ridden this year, and is very dependable. If I don't see any action on this thread, I will start a new one to get a fresh list.

 

I know this is an old post, but I've been looking everywhere for the elusive right side cover for my seca 550. Do you have one you would be willing to sell?

 

There's a set floating around on eBay right now, individually listed, from an '82. Interest doesn't seem to be too high right now; maybe the over-$100 prices were an in-season thing.
