    Hi all,

I am looking to part ways with my 81 Seca because having a 2 year old daughter doesn't leave me a lot of time for riding or working on it. I've had the bike for about 5 or 6 years and have only been able to ride one season reliably. I've enjoyed working on it all these years, but I think the learning curve on the carbs is just too steep for me at this point. I tried to go to church, but I've never been a very religious person ;) It's still got the tool bag in the rear, and the chain lock. It starts and runs, albeit pretty rough.

Most replacement parts have come from XJ4ever

A list of things I've done to it:
-Valve shims checked and replaced where needed
-Rebuilt front calipers (I have the rebuild kit for the MC, but it's that funky one behind the headlight so I never got to it)
    -S/S braided brake lines
    -Front fork seals
    -Head bearing upgrade
-Throttle cable, brake cable and speedo cable
-Rear wheel bearing (I have the front, never got to it)
    -Rebuilt starter
    -Rear brake shoes
-Ebay complete wiring harness (the original was hacked up)
    -New battery
-Aftermarket handlebars (I have the originals)
    -Blade style fuse box

    Carbs:
    -New stock jets
    -Throttle shaft seals
    -Mixture screw seals
    -Fuel rail seals
    -Bowl gaskets
    -Float needles

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I could never get the carbs dialed in, so it was frustrating. I also have some parts to go with it like speed bleeders, front wheel bearing, and I have a spare set of mostly complete carbs. The carb bodies and bowls are great, I poached some internals from them but they still have floats and caps and everything.

I'm looking to get $1,800 for it, but I'm open to any and all offers. Let me know if I'm being delusional with that asking price. I'll work with someone to ship it if needed, but local pick up is always easier.

No that is a fair price , seen some real POS asking much more ...and they got it to . Everyone wants a new bike , but not new bike prices . When the cheapest new bike is still in the 5k price range , a semi restored bike like yours is a good buy. Who ever buys it will be happy , I have two Seca 750's myself .
